Former MSU Football Player Eryon Barnett Dead

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) - Former Montana State cornerback Eryon Barnett has died.
The Gallatin County Coroner's office says Barnett died about 3:30 p.m. Saturday at a Bozeman hospital.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports ( that a cause of death has not been determined. An autopsy has been scheduled.
A native of Euless, Texas, Barnett missed two games last November because of complications from pancreatitis, or inflammation of the pancreas.
Montana State football coach Rob Ash says in a statement that Barnett always showed a resilient spirit that other admired.
Barnett started nine games for the Bobcats in 2014, recording 37 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble.
Barnett started his collegiate career at Texas, where he redshirted in 2009 and played in seven games on special teams in 2010 before transferring to Montana State.
