West Shrine Squad Enjoying Playing with Each Other

Today was the final day of practices here at Montana Tech for the West Shrine squad. And while they're really excited for this game, they're a little bummed it's over.

"The funnest part has been just being able to hangout with all of the guys from all around the state, and getting to meet new people that you've played against all four years of high school," said Sentinel defensive lineman Byron Rollins. "The fact that it's been a lot of fun, when you're having fun time flies fast."

Mixing some of the best players in the state from all classes makes for the best teams, but for the smaller schools, they're here to prove something else as well.

"I've got something to prove," said Townsend offensive lineman Devinn Ragen. "I want to go out there and just show that Class B is way better than everybody else expects."

"I know some of these guys from the MonDak already, so we've got that working for us too," said Helena High linebacker Isaiah Cech. "And meeting all the smaller school guys has been a blast."

And with today being the final real practices, these guys know the bragging rights that come with a win are huge.

"I know I've got a couple of friends on the East," said Big Sky Tight End Colin Bingham. "I'm friends with them, but I just want to go really hard against them before we play together again."

The offense spent their final practice just fine tuning things, getting those trick plays in order. And the real hooting and hollering came from the defense. They're so confident they spent the last bit of their practice working on field goals, and there are actually some pretty good legs on that side of the ball. We'll have more coverage of this game tomorrow during media day in Great Falls.
