Football is officially back in Bozeman. as the Bobcat football team returned to the gridiron for the first day of fall camp.

"Man, it feels good. I had a lot of jitters leading up to it, but once I got on the field, it felt like I was right back at home. So I was really happy."

(Taylor Sheridan, Sr. DT)

"We're just dusting the boots off a little bit, or cleats. It's good. I haven't been around these guys like this in a while. So it's nice to see everybody again."

The offense picked up right where they left off. Dakota Prukop returns at the quarterback spot, this time around he won't be competing for the starting spot because it's all his.

(Dakota Prukop, Jr. QB)

"Instead of the first couple of weeks working on beating out another quarterback, I get to focus the first couple of weeks, of course I'll always be bettering myself, but I'll get to work on strengthening my relationships with receivers, and timing with running backs and all that."

(Rob Ash, Head Coach)

"He's going to be a tremendous leader. He's light years ahead of last year, if that's even possible. As good of a year he had last year, I think he's multiple times better than that right now."

On the defensive side of the ball is where the most questions lie, especially in the backfield.

"We need to get the secondary shored up. I think that's probably the biggest one. We need to find the other corner, opposite Bryson Keeton. We also need to solidify the safeties. We have 4 safeties that are really working hard to compete. I want to get that settled. I want to build depth there too. But I want to make sure we get the secondary put together."

Camp resumes tomorrow morning. practice is set for just after nine.
