UGF Volleyball Has Eyes on Conference Title in 2015

Posted: Updated:

The University of Great Falls volleyball team will be looking to build on a solid 2014 campaign after a couple of years of a youth movement, and it all starts right now for the Lady Argos.

Head coach Arunas Duda is in his 12th season with the Lady Argos and has been preaching consistency as UGF got themselves back over .500 last season with a 16-13 campaign. The gym is electric this year for the squad as their confidence has them thinking about a conference title. And as they work on the little things they know it's going to take a team effort to improve their 7-7 conference record from last season.

"After this morning, we definitely took a huge step forward, and we're all connecting pretty well," said Lady Argos senior middle blocker Kelsee Montagna. "Chemistry is going great. Right now, were pretty excited to head into California and our scrimmage on Friday. So it's going to be awesome to see."

"I think that we have a lot of potential," said Duda. "The sky is the limit for this team in the sense we have taken our licks in the last couple of years, starting some younger kids, but now they've got that court experience, which is going to pay off. Gosh we are just not making as many mistakes as we usually do this early on in the year."
