Cowboys Hoping Playoff Experience Pays off in 2015

Posted: Updated:

The Conrad Cowboys opened their 2015 campaign with a 31-14 win at Troy this past Friday.

Conrad's head coach Mick Morris is trying to lead his team to a third consecutive post-season berth. Of course, the Cowboys made it all the way to the State semifinals a season ago before bowing out to eventual state champion Townsend.

Conrad lost talent from last years team, including do-everything-quarterback Shane Larson. But, 11 starters return who have tasted post-season success, so Coach Morris says they know what it takes to win.

"Anytime you can get that feeling and get used to winning, that's our expectation, our program is going out there to win, not hoping to win but expecting to win. I think any experience you can get coming from the postseason and going into the next year is a positive," Morris says.

Conrad will host Bigfork this Friday at 7pm. KFBB will have highlights of the game on the Frenzy.
