Capital Defense Revved Up, Ready for Glacier

Posted: Updated:

The Capital Bruins have been one of the biggest surprises so far in Class AA. Not only are the Bruins 2-0 to start the year, but they're also boasting the top scoring defense as well. Through two games Capital has yet to give up any points on defense, including a 55-0 shut out of Hellgate last week. A big part of that defense was defensive end Cole Rosling, who had four sacks against Hellgate. This weekend the Bruins host the 0-2 defending champs in Glacier as they hope to keep the opposing offense scoreless again.

"It's fun, it's great," said Rosling. "We kind of battle at practice, O versus D. You definitely walk with a little more confidence, a little more pride being a part of something like that."

"Seven returning starters, that's a key for us," said Bruins senior defensive back Jack Sell. "We've got seven guys that were out there all last year for us, so they've got a lot under their belt. They've seen these teams so they've seen those guys last year."
