Jefferson Panthers Ready for 5B Championship with Manhattan

The Jefferson Panthers are set for a huge match up this Friday at 7 pm in Boulder with the Manhattan Tigers that will essentially be a district 5B championship game. Both Jefferson and Manhattan come in undefeated in league, and are aiming for a shot at that state title. This game should be strength versus strength. Take out their one loss to Fairfield, and the Panthers have only given up six points per game all season, while the Tigers, led by 6'6" quarterback Alec Nehring, average almost 45 points per game.

"They're all athletes over there," said Panthers senior quarterback Jered Padmos. "They've won state track I don't know how many years in a row. We're just going to try and keep him in the pocket, keep him contained, and after he throws just go make a tackle."
