Power's Rossmiller named a Wendy's High School Heisman National Finalist

Posted: Updated:

The Wendy’s® High School Heisman® Program recognized two of Montana’s most outstanding high school seniors with the distinguished recognition of State Winners of the 2015 Wendy’s High School Heisman. Chase Rossmiller of Power High School in Power and Baylee Green of Roundup High School in Roundup will now advance to the next round of the competition, where five senior males and five senior females will be chosen as National Finalists.

The Wendy’s High School Heisman Program honors and rewards high school seniors that are well-rounded students. Much like the collegiate Heisman Memorial Trophy®, Wendy’s High School Heisman recognizes students that excel in the classroom, on the field and in the community. This partnership aims to inspire high school senior students to pursue their higher education goals.

Rossmiller and Green were selected from Montana’s respected group of 20 State Finalists. Others from the KFBB viewing area included: Delaney Beil from Hinsdale High School, Jackson Nagy from Sunburst High School, Andrew Grinde from CMR, Jackson Thennis from Helena High, Denver Krone from Choteau High School, and Jacob Berg from White Sulphur Springs High School.

Rossmiller and Green will compete against 100 other outstanding student-athletes across the country selected as state winners for a chance to be chosen as one of 10 National Finalists. The National Finalist will then go on to be considered for the National Winner title in New York City on December 11.

National Finalists will receive an invitation to the Wendy’s High School Heisman Weekend, and the eight finalists that do not go on to become National Winners will receive a gold medal, a Heisman patch, a $100 Wendy’s gift card and $2,000 school donation in the students’ name. The two National Winners will be announced on December 11 and will receive a Wendy’s High School Heisman Trophy, a Wendy's High School Heisman National Winner patch and a $500 Wendy’s gift card as well as a $5,000 donation to their high schools in their names.
