Carroll Volleyball Excited for Home Court Advantage in Conference Tourney

Posted: Updated:

This past weekend the Carroll volleyball team clinched a share of the Frontier Conference championship by beating #9 Rocky in five sets, and now they turn their attention to the Frontier Conference tournament. The Saints enter the tournament as the two seed behind Rocky, and having the tournament on their own home court feel that it's the perfect advantage they need to get themselves a bid to the national tournament.

"I think it's exciting for our seniors because it's our last season, so we want to make it count," said Saints senior libero Rebecca Sweeney. "And I think so far we've been doing that as well as we can."

"We don't have to travel, we don't have to worry about the bus, or getting on the road and what the weather is going to be like," said Saints head coach Moe Boyle. "And I think it's important for our girls to know that we have something to defend. I think there's a lot on the line, and to be able to play at home takes away a lot of those intangibles."

The Saints open their tournament Friday at 5 PM as they host Montana Western.
