Choteau Bulldog Signs with Texas A&M

A Choteau Senior will be competing in the prestigious Southeastern Conference next Fall.

Kyra Bouma signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her collegiate equestrian career at Texas A&M University.

Texas A&M Competes in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (as opposed to NCAA). The Aggies program has won Eleven National Championships.

Kyra has built quite the resume in four years of competition, which includes 26 youth all-around awards and a couple top finishes at world championship shows. Kyra says she wanted to become an Aggie partly because of the connection she felt with the coach.

"The coach and I just really talked a lot. And she always answered all my questions," says Kyra. "She was super friendly and would always send me cards and let me know how the team was doing. She told me about a summer camp that they do and so I came down for the summer camp and she asked me to come down for an official visit. So when I went down for that official visit I got to meet all the team members and the coach. I just fell in love with the team, the coaches and Aggie Land."
