Lady Rustlers Look to Build off State Tournament Appearance

Posted: Updated:

The Lady Rustlers enter the brand new season looking to build off their state tournament appearance from a season ago. CMR loses some key players which includes All-State guard Taylor Edwards but the team does have five seniors who played at the tournament in Butte. The team is using that state tournament appearance not only as motivation to get back, but possibly come home with a trophy.

"Well it definitely set the bar. Everyone wants to go back to State," says Senior Stevi Farren. "I think it just makes everyone realize we have to work hard to get there."

"It definitely makes us want to go back," says Senior Cailey Froehle. "Especially the playoff game. It makes our team want to win."

"The Other thing is I think our kids enjoy the experience of going to the State tournament," says head coach Brian Crosby. "But I think it motivated them to get back there. Not just to go to State but possibly contend for some hardware."
