Saints Hoping to Avoid Let Down After Taylor's Game Winner

Posted: Updated:

The 16th- ranked Carroll men's basketball team has been on a roll lately. They received their first ranking since 2011, and last night they moved into first place in the conference standings.

The Carroll men are now 3-0 in conference play after last night's come from behind victory over Montana Western with only four seconds left in the game Carroll was down 63-61, as Zach Taylor heaved up a 35 foot three pointer with point four seconds left on the clock to win the game. But now the challenge for the saints is to move on from this emotional finish, and make sure there's no let down in their next game against MSU-Billings.

"It was definitely exciting, but we have the day off today, and we'll just get back at it tomorrow and get ready for MSU-B," said Taylor.

"We're pumped up and excited, but we've also been through a ton of battles," said Saints head coach Carson Cunningham. "And we know that we've got to learn from that game, and then carry that with us to get better for the next game."
