Carroll's James Named All-American

Carroll College offensive tackle Josh James was named to the NAIA American Football Coaches Association All-America First-Team, the Association announced Tuesday.

James, a senior from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, started every game for the Saints this season and 44 games over his career at Carroll.

He was a mainstay at the left tackle position in all four years at Carroll. He started every season and earned Frontier Conference All-Conference First-Team honors during his junior and senior years.

He is the 17th Saint to earn AFCA All-America honors. The Saints lead the NAIA with 19 total selections, two ahead of Georgetown (Ky.) who has placed 14 players on the team 17 different times.

Southern Oregon is second among Frontier teams with eight different selections.

The Saints have also placed a player on the team for 11 consecutive seasons, currently the longest streak in the NAIA.
