Carroll Men Disappointed About Postponed MSUB Match Up

Posted: Updated:

The Carroll men's basketball team will have to wait a little bit longer before they can test themselves against another NCAA opponent. The school announced today that their game against D-II opponent MSU-Billings was canceled.

Last season the Saints were able to knock off their D-II rivals 71-66. Carroll is currently 7-2 on the season, which includes a 3-0 conference record, and they wanted to see if they could upset MSU-Billings again. While the game is being rescheduled for some time in January, the players are always bummed about postponing the opportunity to play against an in--state opponent.

"Yeah it was kind of a blow," said Saints sophomore guard Lorel Johnson. "But we've just got to bounce back. We've just got to bounce back. Practice a little harder and have one more day to prepare."

"Everybody likes playing rivalry games, or rivalry type games," said Saints freshman guard Ife Kalejaiye. "So for us, playing interstate battles is fun. The crowd is into it, we're into it, people have invested so much into it, so it's fun."
