GFCC Lady Mustangs Putting Emphasis on Defense

Posted: Updated:

The Great Falls Central Lady Mustangs are putting an emphasis on defense as District 10C play continues. Their goal is to keep their opponents under 30 points a game and they've been close to that goal, allowing just under 35 a game. The 4-1 Mustangs have five seniors on the team which they feel helps them tighten their defense.

"I think it's a huge advantage. They've been here for the last four years," says head coach Angie Dowson. "A couple of them have played Varsity for the last two or three years. They have the experience and experience is huge."

"That's what we're really going to gear our practices towards," says senior post Mackenzie Fauque. "We've been doing well offensively getting buckets. But now it's time to put the work on defense."
