Former Carroll QB Roche Hoping to Shine in Dream Bowl

Posted: Updated:

Former Carroll quarterback Mac Roche may have played his last down for the Saints, but he's hoping it's not the last down of his career. The Whitefish native is preparing to play in the fourth annual Dream Bowl in Virginia Beach next Monday. The Dream Bowl gives players from D-II, D-III, and NAIA schools a final chance to play in front of both NFL and CFL scouts in order to sign deals and potentially get drafted. Roche was contacted about the Dream Bowl following the Saints season opening upset over then defending champions Southern Oregon, and is the only NAIA quarterback on the rosters. Roche is hoping this leads to a new chapter in his football career.

"Best case is that I get in there and get to show the scouts what I can do as far as my arm, and reading coverages, and that sort of thing," said Roche. "Best case is that I get either some NFL or CFL scouts talking to me, that are interested in me, so I can keep playing."
