Chinook Wrestling Looks Ready for a Run at State Title

Posted: Updated:

The Chinook wrestling team looks to be up to the task of winning another Class C state title this season. The 'Beeters took third place at last weekend's 29 team Choteau Classic, finishing seven and a half points behind first place Shepherd, and just a half point behind the defending class B-C state champion, and host team, Choteau. The 'Beeters success can be attributed to it's returning cast; guys like Tate Niederegger, Kenneth Pruttis, and Jesse Dannels leading the way, again.

"It's a pretty big deal because we know each other and we've all wrestled with each other for a long time and it's a big deal because losing that is like losing a family member and you just need to stick together as a family and it helps us in the room and on the mat.

"We're gunning for B-C. We got the C title last year and definitely top 3, going for it in B-C."
