CMR's Courteney Shovlin Signs to Play Soccer at MSUB

On a day where football signings take top billing, a CMR standout is headed to Billings to play a different kind of football.

Courteney Shovlin has signed to continue her soccer career at MSU-Billings. Shovlin, a standout defender for the Rustlers, helped lead the team to it's first ever state championship in 2014. She says even though she's already signed to play for the Yellowjackets, she still can't believe it's actually happening.

"For me it hasn't really hit yet. I think once I play my first game and move in it will feel different. Mainly I just wanted to continue on and play college soccer and stay close to home so my parents can come watch all my games. Also, my former coach Rob Zimmerman lives there," Shovlin said.

Shovlin was an All-State selection in high school.
