Jefferson High School in Boulder celebrated National Signed Day by holding a ceremony for five of their student-athletes that will be playing sports at the college level. AJ Eckmann will be a preferred walk-on for Cross Country at Duke while Maddie powers will play Volleyball at Big Bend Community College in Washington.

As for Football, Nick Winfield will play at Montana Tech, Jered Padmos signed with Montana State and Trase LeTexier signed with the Griz.

Padmos didn't mind seeing his High School teammate become his newest rival.

"We've talked smack since Freshman year," says Padmos. "Because we've been opposing fans since Freshman year. With each of us going, there's been some smack talk but we've always supported each other and supported our dreams and supported each other's goals."

"It feels really good. It's like a dream come true," said LeTexier about finally signing. "It's definitely something that I've worked for and something that my coaches have helped me to get."

On the flip side, LeTexier's high school rival will now be his teammate. Townsend All-State Quarterback Jace Lewis finally signed his national letter of intent with the University of Montana. Lewis helped the Bulldogs with the Class B State Title in 2014 as the Quarterback but will play Linebacker for the Griz. He plans to be roommate with LeTexier and says his time as a Bulldog will help him transition into playing college Football.

"All of our coaches were College athletes and they've prepared us like they were prepared in games," says Lewis. "It'll be a big transition but I'm looking forward to it."
