Belt Girls are Ready to Make Run at Another Divisional Title

Posted: Updated:

Another district tournament weekend and another district title for the Belt Girl's basketball team.

Seven in a row to be exact but, it wasn't as easy as the regular season was for Jeff Graham's bunch. Centerville gave Belt all it could handle in the title game Saturday night before succumbing 61-52. Now, the focus turns to Wednesday's Divisional opener against the 9-C's second seed Chinook Sugarbeeters.

"It's kinda unusual going in number one to divisional tournament," said Huskies Sr. Guard Addy Martin. "So just back at it with another week of practice we have to really focus and just tournament time it's just that tough mentality of coming in and knowing what we have to do.

"We know the girls from volleyball and we've played them before," said Huskies Jr. Post Kassie Hoyer. "So we kinda know who the players are. We are excited to play them and sure they are excited to play us. They are a good team and we're ready."

Belt will take on Chinook Wednesday at 8:30pm at the Four Seasons Area in Great Falls.
