Northern C Preview: Box Elder Eyes Second Title in Three Years

Posted: Updated:

Box Elder won the state and divisional titles two years ago but last year they fell short in the first round of the northern C. This year they will have the 1-seed out of the 9-C where they went undefeated in the district tournament. The Bears were led by Brandon The Boy who averaged 27 points a game on 75% shooting while dishing out seven assists. On top of all that, they won the title game while head coach Jeremy MacDonald was sitting out.

"That shows that we're a mature team and we got leaders all around the board," says The Boy. "We got good confidence going into next week. I'm just glad we're back to the Northern C. We're going to prove something. I don't really care what seed we get. I'm just really glad we're going to Northern C."

"We just gotta keep our composure. Can't get frustrated," says Junior Jake Jones-Morsette. "We know they're going to come out hot. They wanted to beat us. So we just had to come out with our best game and come out with our A Game."
