The No. 2 seeded Montana Grizzlies moved on to Friday's Big Sky Conference men's basketball semifinals in commanding fashion with a 70-53 win over No. 10 seed Sacramento State.

Montana will face the winner of No. 6 Eastern Washington and No. 3 Idaho at approximately 8:05 p.m. Pacific.

Martin Breunig was the star of the show for the Grizzlies with 24 points and 16 rebounds. His 24 points came on 10-of-18 shooting including 4-of-6 at the free-throw line. Walter Wright finished the game with 12 points and a game-high six assists.

Sacramento State mounted a tough defense in the second half but couldn't take the lead. Justin Strings was the only Hornets starter to reach double-digits with 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting including 3-of-8 from behind the arc.

Montana led 36-21 at the break and it was all Breunig in the first half for the Griz. The senior scored 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the first 20 minutes. As a team, Montana shot at a 47 percent clip in the first frame.

Sacramento State was led by Graves in the first half with six points. The Hornets shot 35 percent as a team in the first period.
