MSU-Northern Football Begins Spring Drills

Posted: Updated:

MSU-Northern enters their second year under head coach Aaron Christensen, who inherited a team that only won three games the year before he arrived. Northern went 0-11 last year but they do bring back a couple of key players that includes all-conference running back and former CMR Rustler Zach McKinley. Despite the hard time, the team is excited to get back to work and prepare for the 2016 season.

"Last year we had to learn a lot of things about how we are going to do things and this way that way," says Lights Senior Defensive Lineman Tyler Craig. "Now, guys don't have to be coached about those little things. We're able to compete a little bit more and more about the football side of things I think."
"It's a great feeling to be back in the pads and hitting the offensive line to make sure they're better after all the time spent in the gym," says head coach Aaron Christensen.
