A body has been recovered out of Clark Fork River in Missoula this afternoon according to the Missoulian. The Missoulian reports that dispatch received the call at about 12:40 p.m.
Missoula County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Brenda Bassett told the Missoulian, rafters spotted what they believed to be a body in the river near the south side of the Reserve Street Bridge.
Because the body was found in the river, it's under the Missoula County Sheriff's office jurisdiction. Bassett said five members of the county's search and rescue team responded to the area for a recovery effort.
The body has not yet been identified, and it will be sent to the Montana state crime lab. We'll keep you updated as we learn more.
