Hundreds of people volunteered Saturday to help clean up the Clark Fork River in Missoula.

Montanans of all ages gathered to help clean up Missoula’s most prominent river.

The event started with some river safety tips from the Missoula Fire Department, with some words provided by Missoula Mayor John Engen and Montana Governor Steve Bullock.

Organizers estimate approximately 500 people gave up time on their Saturday morning to help the cause.
