Foothills Christian Guard Signs with Rocky Mountain

Posted: Updated:

Foothills Christian guard Shane Wood has signed his national letter of intent to continue his basketball career with Rocky Mountain college.

Wood had a fantastic senior year for the Falcons, averaging double digits and helping the Falcons to a 22-4 overall record and state tournament Semi-Finals appearance. Now he is ready to represent Foothills Christian on the next level.

"It's really cool to be able to. I'll always represent Foothills and the people that have helped me along the way," says Wood. "It's cool to always have that Foothills attached to me and know that I'm representing the name. It's a dream come true. It's something that I've thought about for a long time. I'm excited and blessed just to know what's going to be going on next year. And to be able to just go there and contribute right away."

"Offensively, he's very capable of creating for himself and he's very good with dishing out the ball," says Shane's coach John Fried. "He's great at being an assist man."

Shane will join Box Elder's Brandon The Boy at Rocky Mountain.
