Great Falls Wrestling Great Bill Zadick Named Head Coach for Team USA

Posted: Updated:

Great Falls native Bill Zadick has accomplished so much on the wrestling mat. Now, he'll have the chance to lead Team USA as it's head coach.

Zadick will take over the reins of Team USA's Freestyle Wrestling Program after the 2016 Olympic Games this summer in Rio. The Electric City legend has been serving as an assistant for the team since 2009, and will replace current coach Bruce Burnett becoming the teams 5th full-time head coach in program history. Zadick was promoted to the National Freestyle Developmental coach in 2010, and under his guidance, the USA won eight cadet world medals, nine junior world medals and 10 medals at the university world games.

In response to being named Team USA's next head coach, Zadick said in part, "To be named USA Wrestling's Freestyle National Coach is a great honor. It is humbling, and I feel a tremendous responsibility to the United States and to USA Wrestling and to the athletes."
