With 41 of 42 precincts reporting Commissioner Pam Holmquist and Rep. Keith Regier maintain their leads.
Holmquist is up by more than a thousand votes versus challenger Tim Harmon.
In the race for the State Senate District 3 seat, Rep. Keith has a roughly 100 vote advantage.
With absentee and a 24 of 42 of the precincts reporting, veteran Republican lawmakers Rep. Keith Regier and Commissioner Pamela Homlquist have a slight edge against their challengers.
Regier has served in the state House of Representatives since 2008 and is now hoping to secure a seat in the State Senate. So far he has about 51 percent of the vote compared to Whitefish businessman Don “K” Kaltschmidt’s 48 percent, a slight decrease from earlier in the night as the final Whitefish ballots came in.
Though disappointed by the results so far, Kaltschmidt said he is hopeful the final tally will be in his favor.
The additional votes have made little difference in the contested Flathead County Commissioner race. Holmquist maintains a lead of about 54 percent to her challenger Tim Harmon’s 45 percent.
