The Carroll College youth soccer camp completed day four of five at Nelson Stadium on June 22.
Men’s soccer coach Doug Mello ran the camp of 75 kids, the largest in the camp’s three years.
Kids ranging from 7 through 17 participated in fundamentals ball drills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, receiving and proper heading.
Coach Mello said he enjoys teaching the game to young kids and maybe even some future Saints.
“Future recruits possible,” Mello said. “We have had a couple of players – two actually – that are attending next year from Spokane that have come to the camp. They are all-state players that are quite talented. They found out about us by coming to camp.”
