Montana Athletes Proud to Represent USA at Can-Am Bowl
There is one more All-Star Football game to get through before the annual Shrine Game. And this game will be on an international scale.
The Annual CanAm Bowl will feature some of the best 6-Man Football players that the United States and Canada have to offer. Eight total Montanans will join kids from Texas, Nebraska and Wyoming in representing team USA. And the timing couldn't be better with 4th of July right around the corner.
"There's no more patriotic time of the year than this time of the year right now," says Tri-Cities Titan CJ Stevenson. "So the irony is the fact that we're going to another country to play but at the same time, there's never been a time where I've been more patriotic towards my country."
"There's a bunch of kids who are around here playing that I know pretty well," says Kade Woodhall from State Champions Denton/Stanford/Geyser. "So it'll be fun to go down there and represent the United States and whoop up on some Canadians," Woodhall concluded jokingly.
"We got a few more, but because of injuries and some other things, they're having to stay home," says head coach Jake Stevenson from Tri-Cities. "But the six guys we got going up are definitely Championship caliber."
The USA leads the all-time series 13-6, which includes the last six contests.
