A team made up of several prep basketball stars from across the state has won a National Championship!
The 'Montana Hoops' girls basketball team beat the 'Triple Threat Stars' from Lacey, Washington 65-52 in the finals of the Elite Division at the MSNM Tournament in Centralia, WA earlier this week. The MSNM Tournament is a National NCAA viewing tournament in its 19th year that features student/athletes that represented powerhouse teams from Montana, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Hawaii, Colorado and New Mexico.
Montana Hoops had wins over teams from Lahaina, Hawaii 43-36, Puyallup, WA 53-38, Colfax, WA 69-65 and Murrieta, CA 56-48. This win follows an Elite 8 finish in Phoenix, Final 4 finish in Las Vegas in spring 2016 viewing tournaments and a top ten finish in The End of Trails in Oregon City, Oregon summer viewing tournament.
