Former Conrad Player Takes Reins as New Head Football Coach

Posted: Updated:

Three weeks from Friday, high school football programs can open practice in advance of the 2016 season. Up in Conrad, the Cowboys will have a new head coach as Scott Mycke takes over for the recently departed Mick Morris who left for Missoula Hellgate.

Mycke has been spending some of his recent weeknights opening the weight room so his players can get a workout in. Mycke himself, is a former Conrad football player, who enjoyed his time suiting up for the Cowboys.

"We were competitive, we were up and down, I never did get to play in a state championship of anything like that, Conrad has won a few of them but I didn't have the honor to play in one. We were competitive, just a tough football team," Mycke says.

Mycke and the two other assistants from last years staff will be back this season. We'll have much more on Conrad's new head football coach on Monday.
