Great Falls Central Football Moving Forward with Fall Practcie

Posted: Updated:

The Great Falls Central Catholic football team is also getting ready for its season. Like last season, the team is bringing back a strong rushing attack and an experienced offense to help carry the Mustangs, and the defense will have to follow suit. Although head coach Nelson is looking forward to developing some of his young guys and even the team's potential, coach Nelson says there's nothing else that has his team more fired up to be back on that practice field.

"It's great. The kids had a really great summer and worked really hard, everybody is anxious to get back at it," said head coach Mike Nelson.

"Two a days are a little bit of a grind, but after we get through the first four or five days and they see the light at the end of the tunnel, that first game's in sight and they're looking to have a great season," said Nelson.

"It's exciting, I really enjoy football, said offensive lineman Trevor Yuhas.

"It's probably one of my main sports, so ya, it's just nice to be back out here," said wide receiver Jon Ruud.

Great Falls Central will open the football season on their home field taking on Hays-Lodge Pole on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
