Montana students see better standardized test scores

Montana students improving in standardized testing, according to its Office of Public Instruction. They are reporting that almost 41 percent of students, third through eighth grade, tested proficient in math this year, while only 38 percent tested proficient last year.

As for English and language arts, almost half of the students tested proficient, while it was reported last year that only 45 percent tested proficient.

According to the Billings Gazette, state Superintendent Denise Juneau credits a smoother testing process, as last year glitches prevented some students from completing their tests.
