Watch: 2016 Montana Congressional Debate in Billings

Posted: Updated:
BILLINGS, Mont. -

Incumbent Republican Ryan Zinke and challenger, current State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Democrat Denise Juneau debated against each other Thursday for Montana's lone U.S. House seat.

The debate began at 7 p.m. at MSU Billings in Petro Hall.

Libertarian Mike Fellows was invited to Thursday evening's debate. However, he was not in attendance, due to medical reasons.

Mr. Fellows sent the following statement:

Though Libertarian House candidate Mike Fellows had planned to attend tonight's debate and offer his party's unique perspective, a personal medical issue has prevented him from joining this evening. Mike offers his apology to the debate sponsors, the other two candidates and those attending, plus the statewide viewing and listening audience. He looks forward to future opportunities to discuss the issues.

The debate will be rebroadcast Sunday morning after Meet the Press.

This debate is a partnership between KULR-8, Billings Gazette, and Yellowstone Public Radio.
