The Chinook Sugarbeeters football team is back on the right track after their season opening loss to Centerville shocked the area. The 'Beeters handled their business last Friday night in Simms with a convincing 36-8 win. Chinook knows what it takes to put together a string of wins and that's what they intend to do. But as the old saying goes, they can't win ten games until they win, in this case, two.
"We want to steadily improve each game and each week," said head coach Scott Friede. "[We need to] take [the season] one game at a time and then see how far we can get in this season." Senior quarterback Kade Friede added "we just got to play Beater football. We just have to go with the basics, do what we're supposed to do, and we'll get it done."
Chinook will be in Belt this Friday to take on an undefeated Huskies team. We will have highlights from that game during our 10 p.m. Football Frenzy show. Kickoff from Belt is set for 7 p.m.
