UGF Men's Soccer Team Prepares for West Coast Road Trip

Posted: Updated:

The UGF men's soccer team was out at training Tuesday to prepare for a big road test this weekend.

The team travels all the way to Western Oregon for two games. One of those games is against a ranked opponent. Head Coach Joseph Yeisley said he liked what he's seen from his team so far this season. The Argos are fresh off of a 5-0 win against Embry so UGF will have some momentum going into their next game against 20th ranked Corban.

"With our fast paced players up top we'll just run at them and I think we have more speed than them," said senior goalkeeper Henrik Sohn. "We can definitely utilize that and hopefully get goals out of this."

Yeisley added "we've played better as of late. We feel our attack can give them some problems. We feel that area is what we really need to take advantage of."

That matchup with Corban will be Friday at 1 p.m. in Salem.
