Lady Argos Soccer Team Prepares for Road Trip

Posted: Updated:

The Lady Argos soccer team is in search of their first win of the season.

Despite a 0-3 record, Head Coach Brian Clarke said his team has improved each week. One of the biggest differences has been the number of shots on goal. UGF fine tuned their gameplan this week to prepare for a big road test this weekend against Corban and Northwest Christian.

"We're putting it together in practice so when we translate it over into the game we should get that 'W,'" said midfielder Katie Duncan.

But wins don't come easy in the Frontier Conference, and a 15 hour trip by bus doesn't help matters.

"I think everyone top to bottom in the conference will be a tough match," said Clarke. "Anybody can beat anybody at any given day. We're looking for quality matches from both [Corban and Northwest Christian]. Who shows up and capitalizes on opportunities will come out the victor."

Friday's match against Corban is Friday. Kickoff in Salem is set for 5 p.m.
