Capital soccer swept in twin bill

The Capital High soccer program lost a doubleheader to Sentinel High School on Sept. 20 at Northwest Park.

In the girls’ game, Ashley Carlson scored a goal in the first half for the Lady Bruins. The score was tied at 1 at the break. In the second half, Sentinel scored a second goal to win 2-1.

In the boys’ game, the two teams battled to a stalemate after the first forty minutes. In the second half, Sentinel broke the tie with a goal to win 1-0.

Capital soccer returns to action on Sept. 28 in a crosstown matchup against Helena High. The boys’ game starts at 3 pm followed by the girls’ game 5 pm.
