A New art exhibit just opened up at Paris Gibson Square Museum of Art. The show is called "Emergence" and it brings together modern native american artists from the all over the plains area.
Art, like music, has a way from reaching across cultural barriers and is almost a language of its own. Which is why the museum wants to highlight these up and coming native american artists. The Creative Indigenous Collective feel this exhibit is full of images that expresses contemporary native american art. Executive Director Tracy Houck says the museum loves to support living artists and hopes the public will learn more about native culture through the exhibit.
Four of the five artist are from the Treasure state. The show will run from now until April of next year. So you have plenty of time to enjoy the exhibits!
