Hellgate Girl's Basketball Enters Season With Loads of Upperclassmen

Posted: Updated:

The Hellgate Lady Knights are coming into the season with more confidence than they have had in a long time. The roster has eight seniors on it, and after losing half their games last year, improvement in the win column is on the top of the list. Having another season in second year head coach Rob Henthorn's system is also going to do wonders for the Knights, who are not very tall, but will try and outrun and out pace opponents. Henthorn is excited about the talent and experience coming back to Hellgate as the season gets going.

"We have all to of seniors this year, we have eight seniors, we have a  couple of juniors, and we have a couple of sophomores playing with us," said head coach Rob Henthorn. "So you are always hoping with the seniors that you will get the leadership, so that is what we are focusing on right now."

"I think the best thing is that we have played together for a long time, and we know how we play, and we know when someone is going to cut back door, what kind of pass to make to get the ball in their shooting pocket the quickest, and that is just the best thing," said senior small forward Claudia Wiese.
