Pet of the Week: Tyke

Posted: Updated:

Great Falls - If you're looking for a companion who loves to walk and who will stay right by your side, then Tyke might be the dog you've been looking to adopt. He is available right now at the Maclean Animal Adoption Center (MAAC).

Tyke is a two-year-old neutered German Shepherd mix, and he's won the hearts of those work at the MAAC.

"He's really sweet. He's a really sweet boy and he listens really well," said Shar Carrier who works at the MAAC.

He's a little bit shy and skittish at first so it will take some time for him to warm up to you.

"he's very watchful, I think. He likes to know what's going on around him. He doesn't like sudden movements or sharp noises," said Carrier.

With that being said, Tyke would probably do best with a family that doesn't have any kids..but when the right person comes along, he's a dog who could easily become your best friend.

"He's a really great dog and he would be a great companion to somebody," said Carrier.

If you're interested in adopting Tyke, you're welcome to stop by the Center at 900 25th Ave. NE in Great Falls or you can call the center at 406-727-PETS. For more information, go here.
