Edwards set to speak Monday

Posted: Updated:

Cascade County Sheriff Bob Edwards was expected to make a court appearance two days ago to face misdemeanor charges of Partner Family Member Assault.

However, a last minute agreement got him out of the appearance. Under the new agreement, Edwards will need to remain a law-abiding citizen and complete 40 hours of counseling. If those conditions are met, misdemeanor partner family assault citation could be dropped all together.

Sheriff Edwards will be holding a press statement Monday at 1 p.m. where he's expected to speak with the media for the first time.
