New injunction attempts to halt recall petition

Posted: Updated:

KFBB has confirmed with the Pondera District Court that Pondera County Sheriff Carl Suta has filed an injunction in an attempt to halt the recall petition made against him.

In October, we told you the Sheriff refused to resign after the petition reached the required signatures to move forward with an election.

That election has been scheduled for December 19th; no word yet on how Suta's injunction could impact that election. We'll update you when we learn more.

Read our previous coverage of Suta's recall petition.
