While most would use the money toward paying off their house, buy a new car, or simply save it, Cut Bank's Abbi Fitzpatrick would do something else.
Abbi is one of 20 student-athletes across the country that earned the $20,000 scholarship through the Foot Locker Scholar Athletes Program.
She's the captain of the Cut Bank cross country and track team, but her contribution to Wolf country goes beyond sports.
Abbi established the Glacier County Healthy Food project which which helps feed the more than 600 people living in Cut Bank.
She helped raise more than $6,500 to start that initiative. Abbi plans to use her award money to go to college and earn a degree in either law or engineering. Once that's done she plans on using her knowledge to once again help those in her community.
