Diana Johnson does it all....Despite her lack of experience, Diana joined the Foothills Christian Golf team as a sophomore last spring.
"Diana came to one of our meetings. One of our informational meetings and her and her sister joined," said Cory Engel, Foothills Christian golf coach.
Golf was not Diana's first sport. Her skill and versatility earned her all-conference honors in volleyball this past season.
Diana's next endeavor was not a new position in a new sport, no fields, no courts... it all started in English class…
"My teacher, she had the little sign up sheet and asked does anyone want to be in Miss Montana teen pageant and I was like hmm that sounds fun but I didn't want anyone to know that I wanted to do it," said Johnson.
Once again, a lack of experience could not stop Diana…
Despite taking second place, she decided her first pageant would be her last, opting to focus on her senior year of high school and athletics.
"I wanted to put my best into it and I didn't feel that next year if I was chosen I could put my best into it…" said Johnson.
Instead of the stage, Diana will be on the court and the course… giving it her all as a part of something she sees as larger than herself…
"I always want to give my hundred percent, no matter with school, athletics, beauty pageant… part of that is for my faith in God. I am a Christian and part of my belief is to do it all for the glory of him, " said Johnson.>
