This week KFBB is featuring Max as our Pet of the Week. He's available for adoption right now at the Maclean Animal Adoption Center (MAAC) in Great Falls.
Max is a two-year-old Husky Sheppard mix who is surprisingly calm, well mannered, and eager to please for a younger fellow. But, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have puppy in him.
“He loves to play fetch and he likes treats. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, shake. he might need a little bit of extra training with him jumping up, but he’s a good boy,” said Erin Doran.
The adoption center says he could go to a home with other dogs, but he couldn’t have a feline sibling.
“He is very very friendly he loves just about everybody (both humans and dogs). The only thing is her doesn’t really like cats,” said Doran.
That being said, he would do well in most families as long as he can get proper exercise.
“He is pretty active so he would do best with a family that can give him a yard, take him on walks, things like that. Little kids he might be a little too wild for them but with the proper training and supervision I think he would probably be fine,” said Doran.
If you’re interested in adopting max you can head over to the adoption center at 900 25th avenue northeast or you can call the center at 406 727 PETS.
