It's election night here in Great Falls and the result could have a direct impact on Great Falls Public Schools.
One of the things voters are deciding on, is whether or not to approve a levy for teachers.
This would help fund operational costs of teaching Great Falls youth.
Without this levy, GFPS says they might have to eliminate programs.
The total amount they are looking to get approved is $1.3 million, at a cost of less than $20 per year in property taxes for the average homeowner.
Voters will also be deciding on who will be on the Board of Trustees.
Another issue on the ballot in Cascade County is the creation of Park District 1. Creating this would allow for funding to maintain our parks, improve services and facilities all under the Parks and Recreation Department.
The cost to homeowners could be $23 a year or two dollars a month.
