Pet of the week: Tiger the cat

Posted: Updated:

This week KFBB is featuring Tiger as our Pet of the Week. He's available for adoption right now at the Maclean Animal Adoption Center (MAAC) in Great Falls.

Tiger is one of the most senior cats the adoption center has at 12-years-old, but that doesnt he isnt spry for an older fellow. He is very outgoing and quite curious about his surroundings.

He loves just about everybody, He just loves to be petted and jump in your lap and tell you whats going on, said Erin Doran.

The adoption center says Tiger might require a little extra maintenance than a normal cat due to some health concerns.

He needs a little bit of extra help getting adopted because he does have some kidney issues, so he might need some special food and maybe an extra trip to the vet every once in a while, said Doran.

If you are okay with the extra care, he would make a great pet because he gets along with other cats and dogs just fine.

If you are interested in adopting Tiger you can head over to the adoption center at 900 25th avenue northeast or you can call the center at 406-727-PETS.

BELT- Each year two high school graduating seniors from Belt High School are each awarded a $1,500 scholarship, but it's the man behind the scholarship that makes it so unique.  "Matt had a zest for life. He tended bar at a celebrity bar in Denver, then he'd take a month off and go to Europe," said Del Darko, Matt’s father.   The scholarship was created in honor of Matt Darko who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 34 from a heart aneurysm in 2013.
