If you came to the Electric City Tuesday night you might think you wound up in Missoula instead.
That's how much Griz sports fans were in attendance at the Great Falls Grizzly Scholarship Association BBQ Fundraiser.
Fans from all around North-Central Montana opened up their wallets for Griz merchandise. The proceeds from the event went directly toward funding scholarships for every athletic program at the University of Montana.
Head football coach Bobby Hauck said events like the one held on Tuesday are critical to his program.
"The Grizzly Scholarship Association does a great job," Hauck said. "Tuesday's event is certainly a big get-together and is significant in terms of their efforts. It's big for our student athletes."
The event also gave Hauck the opportunity to connect with fans once again.
"People are excited about Grizzly football," he said. "Every Saturday in the fall, there's a caravan coming from Great Falls or on Friday night. It's just fun for me to see all my old friends."
